Let's keep this simple.

Use of the site constitutes your whole-hearted acceptance and personal blessing of the following logic:

This site (meaning VashonMusic.Net) is a free service that you (meaning you personally and/or your band) voluntarily use to upload and promote yourself, your band and your original works (meaning images, words, music and files). You promise that anything you upload or post to the site is yours or that you have obtained the rights necessary to display, promote, and distribute the works, and that the works infringe upon no one's rights. By using VashonMusic.Net you empower the operator of this website to utilize anything you upload to promote you and your music - via this site and via other media - to increase public awareness of you, your works, the site, and the creative community on Vashon/Maury Islands.

You also agree to be nice here, and will not use the service to defame or hurt anyone. You recognize that since this is a free service it would be wrong to assume the operator of the site in any way implies that this service is appropriate for you or is warranted to work in any particular fashion; you are simply amazed that it's free, works at all, and that the server seems to be online most of the time. You promise not to hold the site operator/owner accountable for anything at all beyond timely response to your queries.

Finally, you acknowledge that it is not only abundantly clear, but totally logical that the operator would kick your ass off the site if you broke any of these common-sense rules, and you're fine with the fact that you'd have no recourse whatsoever and would expect no pity if such a scenario should occur.
