As an island resident, you are invited to use this free web-utility for Vashon-Maury Island musicians. Sign-up and log-in!
VashonMusic.Net is a user-friendly music site for locally-based artists and bands to publish a blog, their bio, pics, music, gig calendars, a link to their website, and even create a secure PayPal-enabled storefront if they like. It will always be free.
The main page will have, at the minimum:
1) an events calendar
2) genre-filtered "jukebox" streams of island music
3) a randomly generated "feature artists" display from each of the site's main music genres
4) artist and music search tools
Artists can maintain their own band pages easily with a template-driven interface from their own private "admin" area. You can manage multiple artist pages from a single login, assuming you wish to publish several to the site (for instance, you individually and the various bands you play in). Simply email joel[at]vashonmusic[dot]net, and I'll attach as many as you like to your primary account.
VashonMusic.Net is a community with your involvement, or another internet ghost-town without it.
So, create an artist account, log in, and upload away! (see *Artist Login* and *New Account* on the left of this page) E-mail with problems, questions and suggestions.
Pass on the invite to any of your island-connected musician friends!
